ÿþKevin Durant s a baller. Yes, that nike roshe run sounds wildly obvious, but in a recent interview with ESPN, Durant was hungry for more basketball and couldn t wait to get the Olympic festivities started even after a strenous Playoff run and tough loss in the Finals. The reigning three-time Scoring Champion will likely play a major role in running Team USA s offense, especially with LeBron gravitating more toward the ball-handler role and Wade sitting out this year s Games to nurse an injury. When the KD IV chapter is all said and done, it will go down as one of the best signature sneakers in Nike Basketball history for its high popularity, outstanding colorways, welcoming price-point, and of course, the fact that Durant is a star unlike we ve ever seen before. The KD IV Scoring Title , which gives Durant his due props for earning his third straight NBA Scoring Title, will release on July 21st, so butter yourself up with this first detailed look and let us know if these are the best KD IV of the year. Roughly two weeks after the 2011-12 NBA Season wrapped up, the league s brightest stars convened in Las Vegas for Team USA Training Camp, led by legendary basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski. During the practices, some notable USA-inspired shoes were nike free run spotted, like the Nike Lunar Hyperdunk, the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, and Nike Zoom KD IV, and from Jordan Brand s side, the Jordan Melo M8 and the Jordan CP3.V. The lone non-Nike addition was the adidas Crazy Light 2, worn by Eric Gordon, but don t count on seeing the Crazy Light 2 during the Olympics because Gordon was not selected to participate for Team USA during the London Olympics. Of course, nike basketball shoes USA Basketball at the Olympics will be a Nike-dominated affair, as we ve already unveiled to you the Team USAB Hyper Elite uniforms back in February. Closing out this week s featurette of the Air Max 95 in our Classics Revisited column is one of the earliest Nike x Football collaborations and certainly one of the most unique colorways in the shoe s history the Air Max 95 Juventus . This 2003 release was created as a tribute to one of the sport s most historic clubs, which also owns the distinction as one of the oldest clubs ever and certainly one of the most historically respected and influential in its home country of Italy. Despite some scandalous developments involving the club over the last decade, Juventus has orchestrated a comeback by accomplishing some notable feats in their return to Serie A, and even opened up a nike roshe one new stadium this past September. It s been over a decade since Nike acquired action sports brand Hurley, but the latter continues to operate autonomously and maintains a distinct identity from Nike and its own in-house action sports label. Last year, Hurley teamed up with Nike Sportswear for one of the sickest Air Max collaborations in recent memory, celebrating the launch of the new Hurley Phantom 4D board short while using the all-new Air Max 90 Hyperfuse as the base. Hurley and Nike join forces again with the Nike Free Run 3+ in a Black/Volt colorway with similar vector-line graphics imposed on the upper; this release, scheduled for July 14th, will come with a volt Hurley shoe-bag and will be priced at $110. Additional photos below, so take a look and let us know what you think! The last of the Air Flightposite series is the Nike Air Flightposite III, and it might as well be renamed as the Forgottenposite this classic design from the famed Alpha Project has yet to be re-released, although a rare spotting during the 2012 All-Star Weekend on the feet of Flightposite ambassador Allan Houston could hint at a possible return (and considering the Flightposite 1 and II made a come-back, a III wouldn t be much of a surprise). Like the previous two Posite installments, the Air Flightposite III is noted for one major design feature, and for the III it s clearly the alien-esque bug-eye pods on the upper that act as lockdown tiers for the upper strap and lower harness. To Mache Customs, the funky-lookin protrusions always reminded him of Spiderman s eyes, so he took this pristine pair of the Flightposite III and gave it a radioactive treatment by coloring it with reds and blues and adding the web-like graphic on the toe. Would you like to see a Retro of the Nike Air Flightposite... Back in 2004 when Diamond Supply Co. teamed up with Nike SB to create the iconic Tiffany Dunk Low SB, Eric Koston was still with éS nike air max thea Footwear. Koston rode for Lakai for a few years and then transitioned to Nike SB in 09, right around the time Swoosh skateboarding started to more openly port over classic Dunk colorways for its other models. The Nike Koston 1 has mostly skipped the copycat look to this point, but there s no question that the black/mint combo pictured above is going to get that Tiffany tag from anyone familiar with the original. This spring 2013 release can be seen in more detail after the jump, so click through, let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for updates.
